Coronavirus, COVID 19 – Our Swimming Pool is Open!

12th July

We are pleased to announce the government has now released outdoor swimming pools.  We were lucky in the fact we were ready to go and opened the pool on Saturday 11th July.  As with the “New Normal” there are a couple of changes to help keep everyone safe and well.  You will be able to go to the pool complex freely, however, when you wish to swim you will need to book a session.  These sessions are 20 minutes long and you can book one as close as 1 minute before the next session.  This helps us maintain a reduced capacity in the water and enables everyone to have enough social space.  You can pre-book your swim session up to 7 days in advance as well.  You can access the booking system from our Park App and online at www.tregarton.co.uk/swim

Throughout the park we have implemented the government guidance to help keep us all safe as possible during your holiday.  We have also reduced our park capacity.  How have we achieved this?  Since March (when we were fully booked) we have seen a natural erosion of bookings for the summer of 2020.  We took the decision to stop accepting new bookings to replace these cancellations and therefore have reduced the overall footfall around the park.

In June we launched our new park app for mobile devices.  The app has some great information about the park, the ability to order food and drink straight from your phone and lots of local information to help you explore Cornwall.  One of the best things to using the app is the ability for us to send you a notification.  Here we can tell you instantly an update to the Covid-19 situation or any other park update.  Plus, we have issued our “Covid Secure” rules to follow on the app to help you when on site.  If you would like to download our app just visit the Apple or Google app store and search for “Tregarton Park”.

Thank you for your continued support. As a small family business this is an extremely challenging situation to manage and we sincerely wish you all the best and hope to meet you very soon.  Stay Safe.

The Hicks Family

Download our App:
This month we launched our new park app for mobile devices.  The app has some great information about the park, the ability to order food and drink straight from your phone and lots of local information to help you explore Cornwall.  One of the best things to using the app is the ability for us to send you a notification.  Here we can tell you instantly an update to the Covid-19 situation or any other park update.  Plus we will be issuing our “Covid Secure” rules to follow on the app to help you when on site.  If you would like to download our app just visit the Apple or Google app store and search for “Tregarton Park”.

Flexible Arrangements:
We realise you still might not feel happy holidaying given the current situation, and we absolutely understand.  If you would like to amend your booking over to 2021 just let us know by emailing [email protected] with your new dates.  We have held back general bookings for 2021 to ensure we have the allocation available for possible amendments during 2020. We will try our best to offer you the same pitch in 2021, however, this is not always possible.  If this issue ocurrs we will of course discuss any pitch changes with you.

Thank you for your continued support. As a small family business this is an extremely challenging situation to manage and we sincerely wish you all the best and hope to meet you very soon.  Stay Safe.

Coronavirus, COVID 19 – Guests Arriving 1st July until 31st July

2nd June

As we are only one month away from a potential opening of early July we would like to update you regarding your upcoming holiday.  We would also like to thank you for your patience and support over the last few months.

Balance Due Date:
We have amended your balance due date to 2 days before your arrival for guests arriving up to and including 31st July 2020.  By making this change we can all continue to watch the developments for a much long period of time.  Currently you cannot make a payment via your online account.  Once we are in a position to confirm our opening date we will turn this feature back on.

Park Opening Date:
Many opening dates have been suggested by the press and various associations/industries/resorts.  It does seem to be some, rather than all, tourist businesses can open on approx. 4th July and there will be a phased approach across the sector.  If your arrival is between 1st July and 7th July we recommend keeping a close eye on this.  If you are due to arrive in the first week of July and would like to amend your dates please email [email protected]

Covid-19 Secure:
Over the last few weeks more and more guests have contact us to ask when and what/how will be open on the park.  At the moment we cannot answer these questions!  We feel the frustration as much as you do.  Unfortunately we are going to have to wait a couple more weeks for the government to issue the specific guidance required for campsites.  We have completed a review of the “shared facilities” on the park.  Until the government’s confirmation we cannot take our strategy any further.

Keeping in Contact:
We will always email you with any update.  Whenever an email update is sent a copy is posted to our Coronavirus page on our website.  Just click the banner at the top of any page at www.tregarton.co.uk
Remember to check out our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/tregarton) for news and updates.  The great thing about using social media is the interaction.  We always try to answer the questions posted.

Download our App:
Last week we launched our new park app for mobile devices. If you would like to download our app just visit the Apple or Google app store and search for “Tregarton Park”.

absolutely understand.  If you would like to amend your booking over to 2021 just let us know at your convenience by emailing [email protected] with your new dates.  We have held back general bookings for 2021 to ensure we have the allocation available for possible amendments during 2020. We need to hold back next year’s allocation while we work through the many booking amendments we are dealing with at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

Coronavirus, COVID 19 – Direct Debit Instruction

24th March

Please ignore this notice if you do not have a current direct debit schedule running for 2020. We are writing to all guests who have an active instruction still in place between your bank and Tregarton Park.

We would like to double check you are happy to continue with your Direct Debit schedule you have in place towards your planned holiday with us in 2020.

We have postponed the park opening until 1st May, subject to review. We understand this is a fast moving situation with many “unknowns” as to how and when we will all return to normal.

Please consider the following options:

Option 1 – Continue as normal, no action required
If you are happy with the current direct debit schedule and wish to continue as normal you do not need to do anything. Your payments will be collected as planned on 1st of each month.

Option 2 – Stop payments, action required
If you wish to stop payments please email [email protected] co.uk with your name and address as registered on the direct debit schedule. We will then stop the payments.  Your booking will remain in place and your balance will become payable on the due date.

For both options, if the worst occurs and your holiday is affected, we will automatically issue you a credit on to your account for the monies already paid and you will be able to re-book for another date in 2020 or 2021. Please do not contact us to discuss this option now as we are trying to work through all the upcoming holidays in place for April at the moment, thank you.

As a small family business this is an extremely challenging situation to manage and we sincerely wish you all the best and hope to meet you very soon.

Coronavirus, COVID 19 – Postponed Opening until 1st May

22nd March

It is with much sadness that we have made a very arduous decision to postpone the opening of the park this year.

The Coronavirus pandemic has affected us all, and it is likely that it might continue for some time to come. In line with the UK government’s advice about avoiding non-essential travel and the increased risk of spreading the virus we are postponing the opening of the park until Friday 1st May. This, of course, will be subject to a review nearer the time.  Although we have not been told to remain closed, we feel this is the right decision to try and reduce the amount of non-essential travel.  All those with bookings for April have been contacted about how to re-book for another time.

Thank you for your continued support. As a small family business this is an extremely challenging situation to manage and we sincerely wish you all the best and hope to meet you very soon. We would like to advise you that we are now opening the park for October, with a new closing date of Saturday 31st October 2020.

Kind Regards,

The Hicks Family.

Given the recent government guidance for no ‘non-essential travel’ for the next 30 days we encourage you to follow this and welcome you to postpone your April holiday.
