Dog-Friendly Attractions Near Our Campsite In Cornwall

Most of us are aware that dog ownership has soared over the past few years. This has led to much more pet-friendly restaurants and attractions in Cornwall. Indeed, this part of the UK is one of the best places to bring your dog along.

Not only is our campsite dog-friendly, we have many excellent attractions nearby, including:

  • Beaches which allow dogs all year-round or during particular times of the year. Popular ones near Tregarton Park include Gorran Haven Beach, Hemmick Beach, and Vault Beach.
  • Gardens and parks which allow dogs on leads. Within driving distance of us are The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are both within reasonable driving distance from Tregarton Park and are pet-friendly.
  • Coastal paths with breathtaking views which are ideal for walking your dog. The South West Coast Path runs along much of Cornwall’s coastline, providing plenty of opportunities for scenic walks with your pet.

We’re also close to many pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal and drink with a furry friend. Some establishments even provide water bowls and treats for dogs. It’s always a good idea to call ahead to check if they welcome pets.

Although not all attractions allow dogs, many have policies which permit pets.

For instance, Tintagel Castle allows dogs on leads in the outdoor areas, and the Bodmin & Wenford Railway welcomes well-behaved dogs on their steam trains.

There’s also many lovely towns near Tregarton Park, such as Mevagissey, St. Austell, and Charlestown, to explore with your pet. Many shops allow dogs inside, and there are usually outdoor seating areas at cafes where you can sit with your pet
