Just a few miles from its spectacular coast, St Austell is one of Cornwall’s biggest towns. In the 18th century it was most famous for the china clay industry, which was estimated to be worth £15 billion in today’s money. This industry has left its mark on the landscape around St Austell, where there are uniquely shaped hills, often known as the ‘Cornish Alps’.

St Austell is extremely close to the famous Eden Project, which is arguably Cornwall’s most famous attraction.

The largest indoor rainforest in the world, the Eden Project is a fantastic day out no matter the weather. Nestled in a huge crater, its iconic dome-shaped glass houses contain many stunning plants and exhibitions.

Our campsite is also near to The Flambards Experience- a brilliant day out for the whole family. This amusement park has thrilling rides, a Jurassic journey for kids that love dinosaurs, gardens and picnic spots, and outdoor adventure play areas.

We have a tourist information room, where you can find plenty of leaflets about the surrounding attractions. You won’t find a friendlier or more informative campsite in St Austell.
